Enjoy early morning bird watching at Cedar Rose Wildlife Preserve (12 miles from the Inn) on 95 acres of beautiful Minnesota rolling woodland, pond and prairie trails. Then return to the Inn for a full country breakfast, a day of relaxation in Alexandria and dinner for two at Bella's on Broadway.

Package includes two nights at the Cedar Rose Inn in the Herriott Room with full country-style breakfast at 9:00 a.m. Also includes birding backpack with early morning beverage, muffins, binocs, and bird books for self-guided trip on Saturday morning to Cedar Rose Wildlife Preserve. Then enjoy dinner for two at Bellas on Broadway (included in package), a favorite Italian restaurant within walking distance of the Inn.

Biking, Birds and Bed

After a country-style full breakfast at Cedar Rose Inn, bike the new Central Lakes Trail through the beautiful lakes area of Minnesota, a prime birdwatching area. Backpacks with binocs and bird books will be provided. End your day with dinner for two at  Bella’s on Broadway.

Then enjoy dinner for two at Bella’s on Broadway (included in package), a favorite Italian restaurant within walking distance of the Inn. The ideal setting for enjoying nature at it’s best...authentic log cabin in the woods overlooking Burrs Lake with private woodland and prairie trails at your doorstep. This authentic cabin complete with a loft offers beds for eight persons with jacuzzi and real wood fireplace stove. Excellent for small group treats or reunions with the added feature of birding and wildlife aplenty.

Package includes weekend in Cedar Rose Log Cabin in the Wild (Friday night to Sunday afternoon) with capacity of 8 persons. Also included is access to 3.2 miles of private groomed trails which are available at our doorstep traversing rolling Minnesota woodlands, tall-grass prairie and beautiful ponds. Over 70 species of birds and animal species have been observed in the past two years in this tremendous wildlife preserve. Cabin is fully stocked with cooking utensils, wood for fireplace, linens and towels.

Professional bird guide available upon advance request. Enjoy the serene view of peaceful Burrs Lake from the expansive bay windows and birds feasting on the feeders near the cabin.
